Oh, we just had this problem. It turned out that our heating element went out and we were collecting a bunch of ice. We over packed our freezer also, so the cold air couldn't flow to the fridge. My husband fixed it himself for 30 dollars. He cleared out the freezer, melted the ice and then replaced the heating element.

If you have a Frost Free is it possible that the fan may not be blowing the cold aire through.

The other problem would be if the freezer is buidling up ice the heating element is burnt out.

In order for the cold aire to get through the heatening element must melt off the ice build up so that just cold air flows. If ice bulds up you get nothing and the frgie will warm up. These elements are located directly inside the freezer compartment behind the alluminum plate towqrd the rear. You havre to remove the screw to get to it.
