Them being my flowers. They are in giant barrels that cannot be moved inside.

Yes, that or a sheet. That's about what I did when we got a freak snowstorm after a nice warm week during which I planted my little garden.
The difference is that I had a plastic greenhouse of a sort that was made for that sort of thing. After the cold and frost passed, I went to look and see what had made it- and it was almost comfortable in there!

Depends on how cold it gets but is assuredly better than nothing.
