The lawn has been mowed twice - probably shorter the first time than recommended. Any suggestions to green up those yellow areas.

I like to "free feed" my dog so I leave her bowl sitting on the kitchen floor. I can't now! AARRRGGGHHHH! All of a sudden I have those little ants everywhere. I just moved to No. Virginia. Is it just the season? What can I do? I have to keep her bowl in the fridge and she is sad and so am I. I hit 'em with Windex but I have had to throw out many bowls of dog food. HELP!!!

Well today at the airport the people checking the stuff or one careless lady tripped the container containing my wallet and my watch. My watch is cerruti 1881. It costs about 550$ and I suppose it is quartz. Can the mechanism inside have been damage somehow. The thing is the watch is all metal and is made from steel so it's quite heavy ( it fell bezel-down ) The other thing is when I rotate the bezel there is some sort of very fine powder acumulating on the surface of the glass. Could tge glass have been driven out of its place and the watch unhermetised?

I re-seeded Kyentucky Fescue last fall and have a fair stand, however, mouse ear chick weed and other broadleafs are really thick. I wanted to spray for the chickweed and the broadleafs. I read on the lable that 24d was a poor choice to kill chickweed and also that I couldnt overseed for a yr following treatment. I fear large areas will need to be seeded when the bradleafs die. So what can I spray with to get these weeds and still overseed in 2 weeks?

I want to be able to transplant them once they are big enough, but I want them to be strong. They tend to grow very thinly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm planning on buying a tiller. I was going to get a little $200 mini, but after thinking about it, I plan on starting new garden areas where grass is and also plan on cover crops in fall in vege garden (20 x 20 feet), so I think I need a regular size one.

I'm looking at TroyBilt with 160cc Honda engine. I want a size that I can use, not have to wait for my husband. I'm 5 feet 4 inches and weight 112 pounds. So, what size tiller won't drag me around the yard and make me fight with it.? Will I really be able to use this with one hand as they show in pictures?

is it necessary to move the mulch from around the plant before putting the grains of fertilzer on it? and also she says not to put the fertilizer near the trunk of the plants because it "burns" them. Is it really a big deal?

Im trying to build a storage shed and I wanted to pour a concrete pad for it, but I didnt want to have to spend more money with a cement truck. So I was going to buy 80 lbs bags of concrete mix and do it myself.

I live in an apartment complex in California, and we have a really nice patio that is in need of cleaning. We have to water faucet close by which I could hook a garden hose to. Is there something I could by at Home Depot that I could connect a hose to kitchen sink, or perhaps bath tub? I am looking to purchase a kiddie pool for my dog, and I was in need of the hose for cleaning, and filling the pool. thanks

I just got a new job that requires you to wear nice blouses and dress pants. I had to go out and buy several dress pants and dress shirts. I have a huge problem with me shrinking my shirts and accident. I dont know why they shrink since I wash all of my clothes in cold water, regular cycle-medium soil. I do always dry my clothes in the dryer though, on high heat. (I didnt think drying in the dryer caused shrinking though, I thought it was just wahsing in warm)

Anyway, I read the tags of the items I bought and they all say wash in warm water, tumble dry low. Since they are expensive pieces I do not want to ruin them. I am worried that if I follow the tags directions, washing in warm water, it will shrink. Should I wash it in cold anyway? Will it shrink if I wash in warm as it says?

Also, I have an older washer and dryer, I live in an apt. and it is the apartments compact washer and dryer in our unit....
