Sounds like a scam to me!!! Tell him to prove it,,,and when he does..remind him that's what his auto insurance is for. If your branch is over his property..he has every right to cut it if its in the way...so it's his problem..Not yours. Tell him to bite u.

I would check with your insurance co. Find out weather you can be held responsible . that sounds like a pretty BIG scratch!!!
