I live in an apartment complex in California, and we have a really nice patio that is in need of cleaning. We have to water faucet close by which I could hook a garden hose to. Is there something I could by at Home Depot that I could connect a hose to kitchen sink, or perhaps bath tub? I am looking to purchase a kiddie pool for my dog, and I was in need of the hose for cleaning, and filling the pool. thanks

I was in the same situation. When I connected the hose to my kitchen faucet directly I found that there was not enough pressure to wash the walk and it took forever to fill the pool.
Realizing the bathtub faucet flow was greater I solved my problem by purchasing a submersible pump, or sump pump with pump suction from the bottom with one quarter inch clearance. That means that the pump can sit on the floor of the bathtub and suck out water down to a level of one quarter inch.. I attached the garden hose to this, the pump, there is the correct fitting for it on the pump.
Put the plug in the tub and start filling the tub, turn the pump on and presto ! Depending on the size of the pump motor you now have a good strong flow.
Things to consider......
attach a nozzle of some sort to the other end of the hose to restrict and turn off flow. Adjust it to the right amount as to not go to fast and suck the tub dry.
If the pump has a float which turns the pump on and off, use a cable tie to form a loop in the electrical cord and tuck the float under and up through the loop. Make the loop just tight enough so it can be inserted and removed easily.
And lastly secure the hose somewhere in the bathroom to something so when pulling on the hose from outside you do not pull the pump out of the tub.
As long as you dont over flow your tub, adjust both pump and tub flow accordingly, and your pump hose joint does not leak, this method works like a charm !
Plus you can fill the tub with warm water if you'd like !
Good luck !

Take the tip of your kitchen faucet off and take the little thing to a hardware store and they will sell you a hose adapter for your faucet for only a couple of bucks. If you don't take the part with you they might sell you one that does not fit. After you have this thing and are ready to use it, make sure that you support the hose close to the faucet so that you don't put to much weight on you faucet spout and break it. Take care.

If you cannot find an adapter at the Home Center, try a waterbed store. I have an adapter like this in my fill kit. You remove the aerator from the end of the spout and screw it in and then attach the garden hose. You could also hook up to the washing machine valve. That would give you the choice of hot or cold water.

I don't have outside water until the secondary water is turned on by the county, so if I really need to water - using house water - I take off the showerhead in the bathroom and screw on a faucet from outside, then I can screw the hose onto the faucet and out the bathroom window.

I'm sure there must be something in Home depot or a plumbing supply co. As for cleaning your deck, you might want to check out renting a power washer from Home Depot, it does a great job, and I don't think its that much money. You can also fill the pool from the outside , and bring out some warm water in a bucket for the pool, I did that for my grand kids, when the were little. As the water from outside is cold.

There are adapters that can be used to connect your garden hose to the kitchen sink faucet. Home depot or ace hardware or other home improvement places should have the adapter.

yes, you can buy a package o f fittings because you don't know what size your tap is in your kitchen . Doubt if your tub faucet will fit. but your local hardware store will have what you need, just ask someone who looks intelligent.Good l uck with that!
