Im tired of forking money over to electric and oil companies. Energy blows in the wind and I want to be able to catch some of that for myself.

I always put my summer clothes in organizers til winter is over. Everything was dry when they went in. To my horror, I found the clothes in one organizer full of mold and mildew. ALL of the clothes had it on them.
I've tried washing them and drying in the sun. I was able to salvage 2 outfits. The rest still have it on them. They are new clothes. I hate to throw them out.
I also need to know how to get the smell out of the organizer they were in. I've never had this problem before. HELP!!!

Help! We have a white prom dress with beading and my daughter used a self tanner before wearing it and now it is stained (inside and out) with brown self tanner! The dry cleaner will not take it because of the beading. This dress has only been worn once and is too expensive to get rid of. Help!

So,what happens ?My mom says that the fridge will start to malfunction because of temperature differences between the hot food and the rest of the fridge , but I think that's just a bunch of BS (excuse the expression ) .I don't really have in-depth knowledge of how fridges work, so can somebody that does tell me if it is safe to put hot food directly in the fridge ?Thanks!

Someone told me it can be done as a factor of the cost of the bricks per cube. But how do YOU estimate?

I get a big bucket of water.......then I add a cap full of Pine-sol, a cap full of Bleac, a splash of Comet and swirl it around in the big bucket of water. It cleans....SO GOOD! The smells isnt bad at all...I think it's because I add lots and lots of water. The water is just right, not too soapy...not too bare. The only cleaner I don't mix is Amonia..because it's strong itself! Does anyone else do this? I confessed....lol So come on and confess!

Can anyone help. We have a property in Turkey with a Jacuzzi bath and wall mounted air conditioning units. We do not go to the property throughout the winter months, and we would like to find out a way that we can make these appliances safe from legionaires disease.

Can anyone offer any safe cleaning suggestions.

Thanks very much

I know that they're decoration only and not for sleeping but are you supposed to throw it on the floor while you sleep, keep it under your sleeping pillow, at your feet???

My mother in law has a lovely yard - in ground pool, nice flower beds and a very thorough underground transit system for moles. Unfortunately, "Underground Mole Transit System" doesn't read well on a listing for a house for sale (not that she's selling her house). How can we get rid of these little buggers. I think she's tried traps, chemicals, sonic repellents, juicy fruit gum, spraying for grubs... just about everything short of blowing up the whole yard and starting new... and I think she's getting close to considering that option.

Any ideas?

We just bought this house a few weeks ago and have discovered issue after issue that was done not-quite-right - just because it's DIY doesn't mean it should be done incorrectly. Anyway, the basement toilet was placed on an uneven floor and when you sit on it, the toilet rocks forward (think of a chair that's got a short leg - same kind of rocking). We can't afford to tear up the floor, even it out and retile. What can we put under the front of the toilet so that it won't rock? My husband thinks a piece of wood would work, but I think would is a bad idea where water is involved. Any suggestions?
