Over the last 3 years, our lawn has gone from green and lush to half brown and sparse. There are times when our retic works but mostly it doesn't so our lawn relies on us watering it. Sometimes this works but other times, lots of water makes the ground appear mouldy and doesn't seem to help the lawn. Is there a way of making our lawn thicker again and is it possibly to train it to be drought resistant?

Kitchen cabinets n sink, divider between living room n kitchen, do laundry area in kitchen (maybe just add a retractable door), one simple (2 doors)built-in wardrobe each room and a simple/plain tv console, lighting for all area.

We have a rather expensive 100 ft garden hose (I think we paid around $35 for it last fall). My husband left it on with a nozzle one day last fall and it formed a bubble near the end of the hose right before the metal connector. I just got home, looks like he left it on this morning and it burst at the bubble and sprayed water all day. I hate to buy another hose...is there something I can do to repair this one? It doesn't have to be pretty, just functional. If there isn't a good way to repair it, is there something else that I can use it for out in the yard? FYI this is one of those hoses that has little "strings" throughout the plastic.

I have a hummingbird feeder in my backyard that is used by about five or six hummingbirds. This morning (around 8 am.), a new hummer was sitting on my feeder. I wanted to change the food, but he was sitting there so I left to visit my mother in the hospital. I came home at 4pm and he was still sitting there. It is an hour and a half later now and he is still there. So....I think he has been there all day. The food needs to be changed, but I am afraid to scare him away. Is there anything I can do? Should I just leave him alone or should I try to make him fly off? I feel so sad for him.

Ok, here's the deal... I just moved into a new apartment and for the first time in my life I do not have a dishwasher. So I am having to wash everything by hand. But for some reason, my glasses smell funny after they've been cleaned and dried! I don't get it... I wash them first since glasses tend to be the least dirty when it comes to dishes, so the water they're in is clean and super hot. I let them soak in water hotter than I can stand it (as hot as it gets) for at least 10 minutes before washing, I use lots of soap, rinse with hot water... but they still have this smell to them. It's not horrible, but it kind of makes you think twice about how clean the glass is if you smell it when drinking from it. I'd hate to have guests over drinking from my glasses and that thought run through their mind. Does anyone know how to get rid of this problem? Something I can add to the water? Thanks!

It is an antique turqoise color that has "American Home" on the front of it. Deluxe precision built. I don't know the year. Are they very common? I find Free Westinghouses but no Precision sewing machines. It has the # 32 on the bottom of the machine and is in it's case. I don't know if it works, I think it needs to be serviced before I try to turn it on. If anyone knows about this machine, I'd appreciate any help. Thank you!

I am installing a new shower in an area where there was none. I am building the shower up on a platform so the water will have enough pitch to flow to the sewer line. My question is what do I have to do to keep the odor of the sewer line out from the drain through the drain line to the sewer, which is one continuous run. I am familiar with the P-traps in sink application but not with this application. Also, just in case I can't get the right pitch for the drainage, what do you recommend (pump) etc.? and how do I do it?
