MYroof has a hole and the birds are getting in. And they maybe leeking as well. I am in a flat and all tenets are home onwers and the other half is privetly rented(not by the councial). looking for advice to help me to forse the tenets to pay to get it fixt adivce buroe not answering their phones I have traied for a few days and I have sent letters to them and to the rest of the flats onwers but no reply could anyone help me

Not enough legal info here mate , but normally you would have to contact the freeholder ( landlord ) !!

you need to be more specific here.
in short, if you are in a privately rented flat, then your landlord has a duty by law to make good any repairs (s would a council be for a council flat) if this is some shared accomodation and several landlords own different flats then whoever has the flat where the hole is in the roof is responsible.

ring up the enviromental health ..get the number from your local council
