I have a tripod that broke. I basically have to attach a little piece of plastic that fell off back onto the tripod. It has to be sturdy and I cannot have any gaps between the piece that fell off and the piece I am attaching it to.

I don't know what kind of plastic it is but this piece cannot have any gaps. It has to fit back perfectly because it will be moving up and down when it is secured.

Almost immediately after my kitchen was remodeled, I cracked my Corian type countertop by putting a crock pot on it. I didn't realize how fragile the top was or how hot the crock pot got underneath. I kept trying to get it fixed and the company who installed it won't even call me back even though I'm willing to pay. Is this even repairable? If not, should I file an insurance claim and get a new counter top or does insurance even pay for that kind of stuff?

I have an electric clothes dryer that's about 18 years old. I've never had a problem with it until now. When I ran a regular-sized load of clothes through it today, I found a small pool of water about 2 inches wide under it, below the door. When I opened the door, the clothes were just as wet as they were when I first put them in there. The heating element is still working, though, because the clothes were very warm. I clean the lint trap every single time I use the dryer so I know that's not the problem. Two months ago I even moved the dryer out from the wall and cleaned the vent hose (but not the vent in the wall itself), which I do about once a year.

Any ideas? And how do I go about cleaning the vent in the wall? Can I just use the same long brush that I clean out the lint trap area with?

Thanks for your help!
