Is there a way to permanently shrink clothes?

What is some are black, can you with out it fading.

Any item of clothing that has the label 100 percent cotton will shrink if washed in hot water and dried on a high-heat setting. You should be aware; however, that every time you wash an item of this type, it may shrink again.

Permanent press, or items containing a combination of cotton and other material, may or may not shrink. There is no guarantee that the item will not shrink each time it is laundered.

If you need these items smaller, the best way is to alter them- not shrink them. Wool is really one of the few fibres that will shrink- and it changes the clothes appearance for the bad.
