The bricks are very old, It is a old hose where a kitchen stove has been taken out and we are going to redo stove. Would like to clean the bricks up so looks good.

ask three times & get a bad answer.....


soap & water ... pile up some towels at base& use a stiff brush

Scrubbing w/ a strong solution of hot water & Simple Green or a Citrus cleaner is safe.
If that does not do it ,try scrubbing w/ a strong solution of MEX
Would be about the strongest stuff to use indoors.
Have used both on an exposed brick 1/2 wall inside house but then, did not have to be careful about protecting surrounding area when using MEX.
Might consider liquid silicone to seal brick & make it easier to clean next time.
