I'd try the passion flower. There is a tropical and a winter hardy variety. I grow lots of them. If you would like any seed, just let me know. I'll send you some.
Also try trumpet vine. Hummingbirds love them and have a great red flower.
Try these links and take a look.

Honeysuckle would match the color you're looking for and provide some great fragrance, but for my money there is no better flowering vine than wisteria.

try the hyacinth bean vine....it has lovely pinkish purple flowers and deep green leaves with purplish colored stems. when it stops flowering it has deep purple bean pods that u can dry for seeds for the next year. it can grow really tall and wrap around whatever you want it to grow on. I live in Kentucky so climate shouldn't be too different. I love this vine...my favorite of all.

Try some native choices like coral honeysuckle, crossvine, trumpet creeper, or carolina jessamine. Native vines perform better and are easier to care for.

I live here in the Philippines. My late wife asked me to plant yellow and violet bell. It flowers all year round and add beauty to our garden. It grows better and contunue to flower, making me so much alive seeing their flowers. Perhaps it will grow under your condition.
