I have butterfly bushes - lots of butterflies and hummingbirds come to them. Don't think they attract bees any more than other flowers do. Haven't had any wasps and they've been in for 4 years. They are one plant that the deer around here have not attacked. In fact, I believe they are on the list of deer resistant plants - you can verify this by going to any of the horticultural sites - clemson university has a pretty good one.

No more than any other flowers do. I started to see more butterflies as soon as mine bloomed, but no more bees than usually (the bees liked my tomato plants more).

They especially attract the monarch butterfly. They also attract bees who will pollenate.

Not all of them. However, there are some plants that are hosts to both and all of them as well. Some insects like some plants; and others don't. Deer are another subject altogether!

Butter fly bushes can attract everything you named. Depending on the color, care and location will determine what you will attract the most of.
