We have a 3 bed 2 bath home a eat in kitchen a living room and a dining room. We do not use the dining room, and could really use another bedroom, would it be wise to block off the dining room and make it into a bedroom? Our house is just over 1300 sq. feet.

There's a large amount of soap scum all throughout the dishwasher and especially on the sprayer holes. All the soap scum has built up to a point where at the end of the wash cycle, even after drying cycle, there's still a large amount of water pooling at the bottom of the dishwasher. Any help on how to resolve this issue and possibly prevent it from happening again?

I found a website for an appliance parts dealer but they wanted big bucks....over a $100. It's progressively made more and more noise, sort of a grinding sound, so I finally disconnected it, but if I could find one cheap I'd replace it. It came out pretty easy.
Thanks!

I rent in a 2 family. After almost a year of hot water issues, finally the landlord replaced the water heater. Yay! On the day of my shoulder surgery cause i needed the shower to really work ok. I come home from surgery, next day use the washer in basement to wash the neck ice pack holder, and the basement floods 2" because the plumber had taken out the washer's drain pipe to drain water heater and didn't replace it.
Question: What do I do? I know either the landlord or the plumber they hired is responsible but with this shoulder surgery, I can't go digging and figuring out how much damage was done. Not now. And how do you put a value on non replaceable itmes from childhood, signed books, photos, stuff that I saved since I was 6. I am 54. Any advice on how to proceed would be extreemely helpful. Especially first steps like what to and not say to landlord. They own the house and live on the second floor. thanks for taking a stab at this. Also, I'm down there with my arm in a sling etc.

Our toiletpaper holder was mounted on a tile, and the tile and holder fell off out of the wall. The toothbrush holder, also tiled, was very loose and we pulled it off. They are the standard square tiles (?6x6 inches square).

How do we clean off the adhesive on the wall and the holders, and what type of adhesive should we use to reattach them? Any secret to holding them in place while the adhesive dries?
Thanks!!

What is the best way to glue sagging wallpaper border back up?
It is the type that comes with the adhesive already on it, and it's losing the stickyness and coming off.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me and my husband what to do. We are having problems with our water. The toliet has filled up to the top and won't flush until a while later. When we run the water in the sink in the kitchen the water in the toliet bubbles and too when we use the sink in the bathroom the water in the sink in the kitchen bubbles and a little while ago the water in the kitchen sink didn't want to go down. We have used some drain o in a bottle. What do you think the problem may be so we can fix it?
Thanks,
Misty

How do you motivate yourself to clean your house. My house definitely needs it and I have the time. I feel motivated sometimes for a whole 5 minutes, lol. And it takes me more than one day to clean to. So if I motivate myself to say get my living room clean, how do I stay motivated to keep cleaning the rest of the house the next day?

Any cleaning motivation techniques or tips would be great!
Thanx in advance.
