Yes, you should remove them...with clipping shears made specifically for plants. Yellowing leaves usually indicates over-watering. Check the soil to see if it's really wet and if so, back-off a few days and water only when the soil is almost dry again. Good luck with that...

Hello Angelwing -
I feel generally it is fine to remove yellow and withering leaves if they are dead or dying; however, it is much more important to figure out why they are in this condition. Is it overwatering? Lack of iron or other fertilizers? A non-draining container? Transplant shock? Or, just the general leaves dying off to create new ones as the plant is getting older and more established?
Those should be the various things to be considering if there are excessive and (unnatural) amounts of yellow and withering leaves.

I happen to think leaving it alone and doing the usual watering will keep it healthiest. Rake and gather and throw out the leaves that drop to the ground. Such a pattern should help the plant get through its "season".

yes you should remove all yellow/brown leaves as they are pulling nutrients from the surviving vine/leaves. Snip the dead/partial dead leaf at the base of the leaf where it sprouted from stem.

I do, so the nutrition will go elsewhere. I pull the entire stem off not just the leaf, by using pruning shears.
