I hate doing laundry, and I usually end up with piles of it to do by the time I get to it. I have an eight year old, an eighteen month old and a husbands and of course my own clothes to take care of.
Any suggestions about a quick and easy way to stay on top of it?

I have an old (40 yr) house and want to remove the crummy old plastic shower doors and replace with clear glass doors. Can anyone suggest to me the best type of shower doors. Also, do I have to remove the entire metal surround into which the door fits as well as the doors? Or can I just replace the doors.

Thanks.

I'm wondering how to give an estimate of mowing & Trimming a lawn like an average size 1 acre. and what about a job planting 10 small pine trees in a row, with mulch. How would one measure pricing different sized lawns to cut & Trim with a regular cut push mower.? Please help...

I have noticed when I tap on stained glass that has been soldered together that it "sounds" like plastic. I was wondering why. Is it coated? Is it because the pieces are so small and soldered together? Or, is most "stained glass" today actually plastic?

Would love to hear from someone that makes and/or sells Tiffany style lamps or Stained glass windows.

We are in the process of buying our first home in east central IL. The home was built in the 1800's and has plaster through and through. I want to replace the rooms that need it due to cracks in the walls and replace them with drywall. What might I be getting myself into when it comes to tearing them down, pricing wise and construction wise. The drywall here usually in a fair estimate is $10 a sheet.

I'm not talking about the odd splash here - I'm talking clothes that have been absolutely doused in fuel (seems my partner had a slight accident when putting fuel in his truck - oops!)

The Euchalyptus Tree is about 25 feet or so all together. The main trunk is about 6 feet high with a diameter of about a foot and there are 2 upright branches. Strong winds in January forced it over so much that it now has a permanent lean of about 30 degrees, there is also minimal earthrise at its base but current high winds don't seem to be making it any worse. 1 branch is almost vertical but the other looks as though it is pulling the tree off balance. Should I remove this branch? And prune the other? Or cut them both back? Or cut it down to the main trunk, if so how far? I've heard euchalyptus can survive forest fires in Australia and grow again but will hard pruning kill it off? I don't want to lose it as it was planted when my daughter got married - some of its twigs/leaves were in her wedding bouquet. If it will survive really hard pruning when is the best time to do it and when would be the time to avoid? Thanks in anticipation to all you gardeners out there!

I have a hand carved hardwood piece of furniture which I bought some 3 years ago. Recently there has been a tapping noise coming from the 'drum' and despite removing drawers and really scrutinising the furniture I cannot see where this could be coming from. No signs of damage or infestation - yuk! Does anyone have any clues? I thought at first it may be the wood contracting but the noise is too regular for that to be the case. Help!!!

I am moving into a new house in a few months and trying to get an idea of things I will need to buy. Does anyone know of a good book or website that has a great list? I have lived on my own for 10 years, so I am not really looking for beds, sheets, towels. I am looking for things like hoses, lawn mowers, things you wouldn't have living in an apartment.
