Everytime I drain the water from the bathtub upstairs the bathroom
sink in the basement starts to badly overflow. But I could leave water running in basement sink and it drains O.K. I snaked out the main drain and it still backs up out the sink after taking Bath. It does not back up through main floor drain at all. Need help with this one.

Our garage seems to have an endless supply of spiders no matter how often we vacuum and clean it. I know they come from the outside and in some ways are beneficial but I was wondering if there is a product that we can use to control them over a period of time? SPrays seem to only kill them on contact and we have used something called spider ban it alomost killed us too.

Is there a difference between a GFI receptacle (ground fault interrupter) and a GFCI receptacle (ground fault circuit interrupter)? If so, what?

She spilled hair dye on the white carpet. I dont want to have to replace the carpet. She thinks just replacing that spot will do. I dont understand the female mind. You cannot just replace that one spot. It will look funny. So, what can I do to get rid of the stain.

Thanks

They have new buds on though would cutting them back severely and feeding the soil help get them back? Is it the time of year that is making them look brown and dead?

My bedroom's theme is a bit Middle Eastern, but the pictures I've been choosing for it don't have anything to do with the room's decor so I really don't mind the theme much. I also would really like a cool, original way in which to arrange them in my walls. I'm on a tight budget so I can't spend much.

Just to survey random people, how many of you (if you had the money) would hire a budget oriented designer to decorate your home? She would be using "recycled materials" from thrift stores like the Salvation Army, and the Goodwill. The goal would be to use the budget to re-do the home in a thrifty yet stylish theme. Just wondering... Thanks for looking. :*

i can't get new furniture, so i have to work with what i have. army green chair and a half and ottoman, dark purple sofa, and purple side chair. my tv armoire and console table is dark, almost a mohagany and i plan on painting the walls a taupey color. drapes are a goldish-tan chenille fabric.

any ideas of how to use these pieces to create a cape cod/hamptons look? i'm not sure i can afford slipcovers, but i do want to purchase a new rug.

Jeanneine and two of her friends were hired to rake leaves by a neighbor. The house has a backyard and a frontyard that are the same size. The neighbor agreed to pay $60 for the entire job.

Jeanneine and one friend arrived to start at 9 a.m. By the time the third person came, the front yard was finished. All three of them finished the back yard together.

Each person must be paid based on the amount of time worked. How should the money be split between three friends?

Can someone please answer this for me? Also please include how you got the answer.
thanx

The washing machine (GE Spacemaker) won't drain and pressing the start button just makes a buzzing noise. The machine is old and I need to know if fixing it will be cheap or should I replace the whole thing. Can a local guy diagnose the problem?

Also -- how do I drain the nasty water inside the machine? I can't access the hoses in the back -- they are inaccessible.
