This may not be what you want to hear but you should have it professionally cleaned. In addition to cleaning the outside, the inside that comes in contact with your body needs to be cleaned too. It may be expensive but will be worth it in the long run/ Make sure that the cleaner is specially qualified in leather car first.
Failing that, you may use something called "saddle soap", you may find it In a shoe store or leather product store. They sell it in stores that have fine leather shoes, handbags and gloves.

If its just the outside your talking about, baby wipes are actually the best. They do wonders for my leather sofa! Happy cleaning.

Soapy water and a soft cloth then allow to dry naturally at room temperature, my jacket looks new even after 12 years use (bike jacket not fashion jobby).

if its in a really bad way you can get it dry cleaned,but this will dry it out,you can use soap and water,but not get it too wet,id recommend "feeding " the leather afterwards, with something like a scotch gaurd or saddle soap. good luck!

damp cloth. depending on whats on it the heaviest you should use is fairy in hot water dampen cloth then wipe. unless you like the well used look which only ever works with brown leather.
