It is possible to sand or bead blast the house and remove the paint but you should also anticipate doing some pointing to the brick work afterwords.

Yes, but the brick will have lost it's outer barrier and will be more prone to weathering. Sandblasting is one way. Chemicals are another, but if you are doing a house exterior, LOL, the number of gallons and hours required would be astronomical! Even then, with either method, not all the paint will come out as it seeps into the pores. I'd stick with sand blasting or whatever they use now adays. Then make sure you seal the brick and mortar with Thompson's water seal or other material........and do it every 3-4 years. Get an estimate on sandblasting. Then you'll need to repair the grout for sure. The sealer can be applied with a pump sprayer.

Wet or dry? If it is overspray or dribbles from the painters charge it to them the cost of cleaning. If you did the painting, if it is still wet, then apply alot of reducer to it (what ever that may be - water, or varsol, or special paint thinner depending on the paint used)to wash it off. If it is dried on......you could try scraping it off and a thin layer of brick as well. orr if it is latex, use lacquer thinner on a rag and hold it on the paint for a couple of minutes and see whether it is softening so you can scrape it off with a jacknife blade. Or, if it is available to you a Honda powered pressure washer where you can get 2000 psi and more to blast it off.
Or screw the removal and paint it the same color as the rest of the brick with same color paint.

I would give a kick *** power/pressure washer a chance at it first. If it's been on there for years and years, and has several coats, you might have some luck with it, and if not, it would just make the sand blasting easier, and would be alot less expensive. If you don't have one, you can rent one.
Good Luck!!
