It's a dual ac/heating unit. The heater will run for about 6 hours at a time before shutting itself off.

I need an ideas. Should I plant something. I am not talking about flowers. I mean fruits that are not going to become trees.

When we run the hot water tap it takes ages for the water to become hot. The tap makes a noise like there's air in the pipes somewhere, not sure. Have had the boiler checked and been told it's fine. As we are on a water meter do not want to keep wasting water just running it to get hot.

I have several old power tool batteries that have died over the years... I really don't like buying them over and over.
I got the bright idea (oh no), if I could find an ac adapter with the same volt and amp output, and I could fit it inside a battery case (take the batteries out of the housing), then I wouldn't need more than one or two batteries while I'm away from an outlet. (Most of what I do, I do close to an outlet. Having cordless tools are just very nice.)
Anyway, I found an adapter with the spec I needed on eBay. Got it home and checked it out on my meter (right on the money for volts; less than 1/2 amp higher than the batteries).
I emptied out a worthless battery, fit the adapter in, carved a hole for the cord and fit the wires inside to connect to the "battery" terminals. Now it looks just like a regular battery, test the same, it just has a cord hanging out.
When I put it in any of my tools, however, the tool runs in VERY short bursts.
What did I do wrong?

So, my shower seems to grow red. I don't know how or where the red comes from, but I suspect it is a mildew. The only alternative is that some red hair dye stained it ages ago and is infintesimaly slowly seeping out of the tiles and plastic. I am hoping this is the case, because red mildew scares me. Does red mildew exist and is it more or less evil than black mildew.

Like Stain Master for carpet or Kiwi Camp Dry for leather.

I need something that will give me peace of mind...a little at least.

Thanks...

color sofa to purchase. The curtains and wallpaper are a country maroon check, the carpet is beige, and I have a large center rug with maroon, gray, and beige in it. I was thinking a dark color, but I'm just not that good with color schemes.

I live in a small mobile home not sure how old my home is but I would say probably around the late 50's or early 60's. I am having the gas company come out to fix it but not until the first. I joined something with them called an appliance plan where they can come out and fix your furnace free of charge sort of because you pay 10 dollars a month on your bill which isnt bad considering how much repairmen can cost. Meanwhile a neighbor tested the electricity with a tester and found no current in my thermostat so he guesses that may be the problem. When I turn the dial on the thermostat their is no click nothing. I dont have circuit breaker on the wall, only the screw in fuses and they all seem to be okay. I already tried plugging and unplugging my furnace from the wall but it made no difference. All other appliances on that same wall seem to be working. Could you give me some insight as to what the problem could be

my furnace isnt working right now so I am using a space heater in my living room and kitchen. Which means my bathroom and bedroom are a bit chilly but I sleep in the living room for now and am more concern about keeping the front of the house warm. Last night I came home from work and my hot water in my bathroom wasnt working but at the same time the kitchen hot water was fine. I live in a small mobile home and my bathroom pipes are located under a pannel in the next room (my storage room) I removed the pannel and put a space heater near the pipes for a few minutes and than the hot water ran. I am using a tip from a friend leaving a faucet in the bathroom trickling and also the kitchen. I dont want to leave space heaters on when Im not home. Any tips on what I can do about my bathroom pipes? Should I maybe keep the wall pannel off and just do what I did last night if it happens again? Or is their a way I can prevent this? Suppose I run a blow dryer on the pipes.

On our dark colored sweat shirts, there are some spots on them that look wet, but they are dry. Is the fabric softener doing it or the drier sheets? And how do I get rid of and prevent them? It seems to happen the most in the cold months, but it does happen in the warm months too. I'm perplexed and tired of looking like I spilled something on myself ;o)...............................

I need answers only from those who have had to use space heaters please so the answers will be first hand from people who have used them. My house has no heat right now because my furnace went out Hopefully it will be fixed on the first but that is besides the point. Right now I have to use a space heater to heat up my house. I live in a small mobile home so both my living room and kitchen can heat up with only one heater. My living room is about 12 by 16 and kitchen about 12 by 12. I want to know if my electric will be going up sky high because I have my heater running from about 1am until 4pm when I leave for work and unplug it. Im on a budget plan on my electric meaning I pay the same amount each month until settlement month in may. I live in southeast Michigan. I heard alot of people say that my bill will be way up there, some say it may go up but not by much as the newer models are no different than using an airconditioner, some say I wont even notice a difference. Help

I dug a hole.
grabbed the seeds out of the melon.
And covered them with soil.
I watered them every day for three years why did they not grow?

I am still hoping they will grow.
I'm 37 is there any hope?.
