while. Might be something caught in the pullies....change or a piece of metal hardware? How long will a dryer belt last when it is cracked. Looks like lift off the top and unscrew the font to get belt on and off. Anything else to look for. This dryer is 1990 Lady Kenmore.

which is grounded.....4 wires to it, but only a 3 pronged receptacle, so the ground wire is just bonded to the mount plate of the receptacle. If the chassis of this dryer (or oven) which is in same condition of wiring as the dryer...if that chassis becomes energized from a malfuntion, will the 30 Amp non GFCI breaker trip before someone is hurt seriously?

We own a rent house which has oak hardwood flooring throughout most of the house. About a year ago, we hired a local hardwood floor company to sand, stain and seal the floors. The floors looked great when we rented out the house. Our renters moved out last week and when we walked in, we were horrified to see black streaks in every room. The black marks all seemed to bleed outward of anywhere wood filler was used on the floors (the house is almost a hundred years old, so there were a lot of cracks to fill). We are bringing the floor company back out to look at the damage, but in the meantime, I'd like to get an objective opinion. The only areas that this did not happen were where there were large pieces of furniture, causing us to believe it was a cleaning agent that may have done this. Also the tennent had 2 dogs, but we don't think any dog could urinate over that much area. Does anyone know what could have caused this and if it can be repaired?

Last night, my 2 yo was playing with some lip gloss of mine (I know, bad idea, Mom). Anyway, she got the lid off and I accidentally stepped on it. It squirted out like a tube of toothpaste, all gooey and everything. I can't get the stain out and we're putting the house on the market in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know how to get this out?

I know I can paint or refinish my doors, but the cabinet around it seems to have that inexpensive old wood lamination, can I some how paint that, then do my doors a contrasting color, as they have insets, then do some nice handles. How would I go about this?

Have a larger than normal one-piece fiberglass shower stall that has two cracks in the floor. One abot 12" and the other about 8", a few inches from the drain. They are currently sealed with clear RTV. Does anyone know if there is a company that can repair these? Otherwise (I have been told) the whole bathroom would need to be remodeled due to the unusual large size of the unit.

During the spring and summer, I have a bad problem with wild and Bermuda grass both growing up in my shrub bed in front of the house. The past couple of years, I have been pulling it up, but it seems determined to return. I do have a continuous stone border around the bed. Someone suggested some weed fabric over the bed, which supposedly lets the water and nutrients in, but not let the weeds come up. I would like to lay down a layer of red mulch or lava rocks to match the house exterior. Does anyone have an opinion on the weed fabric? Does it help to put some shrub food underneath? In what order would I put the layers of food, fabric, and mulch/rock? If it makes any difference, I am in the North Texas area. Thanks!
