How to get rid of foul plastic odor from new shaucony running shoes?

Stuff a Bounce sheet in each one, stick them outside on the porch/patio for a couple of days, dump baking soda in them...hmmm...that's all I can think of...

If youre a runner, run in them!
Put in a few 80-100 mile weeks you wont be able to smell anything new about those puppies!
Other than that?
I might say using Febreeze or washing them.
