Assuming you have a transformer it would be best to replace the lamp with a 110volt one, get one from Screwfix or any of the places suggested above, then you can use it anywhere safely. If you are only using it in your own house in no risk areas you could fit a 240 volt lamp and change the plug to a 13 amp type.

Edmondsons Electrical, Newey and Eyre, City Electrical will definitely have 110 lamps, I'm suprised B&Q don't. If you change your lamp over to 240v then you won't be allowed to use it on site!

no no no no no assume you have a 240volt cur cit don't change any thing only the lamp bulb you might get a bulb from a large diy store or if not ,best buy a new comp lamp

try your local tool hire shop.guranteed to have some if youre in the U.K HSS or Crown are a good place to go you dont need to be in the trade or have an account.
