I'm 22
i ironed for the first time yesterday.
my misses normally does it for me.
we have a long thin board.

would it not be quicker to have a short fat one so you can lay, like two 3rds of a t-shirt on it?

Hey, I'm trying to clean my room and I find that I'm turning into a bit of a pack rat, keeping things I probably should throw out, so I wanted to get the general opinion of everyone here on vhs tapes. Should I throw out the vhs tapes that I taped tv shows on or movies? I would tape them when I couldn't watch them, and it seems like I've kept everything. I'm definitely keeping momentous events like weddings, birthdays, etc... that are on vhs, but what about the rest? Garbage? Also, if I have pre-recorded bought vhs tapes, should I throw them out or give them away as I replace them with dvds? I've replaced a few of my vhs tapes for dvd versions, so what should I do with the old vhs ones? Thanks.

Has anyone ever been happy with Sears' service on large appliances? In my opinion, their service SUCKS, and their customer service representatives are absolutely useless. I won't ever purchase another appliance from Sears and would recommend to anyone considering making a major appliance purchase to choose a business other than Sears. Sure, they're quick enough to take your money when you're purchasing something but when you have problems with the item, they don't want to be bothered. An entire week has gone by and I'm STILL waiting to have my refrigerator repaired! Their service sucks, Sucks, SUCKS!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!

My husband has a Ryobi drill and it's cordless. He mentioned that the batteries he has for it don't hold a charge anymore, and he'd actually just like a corded drill. Does Ryobi make something like the battery that you'd plug in the same spot, but would provide you with corded power? I couldn't find anything on the web, then again I don't know what it's called :) Any ideas?

We currently have 12x12 size tiles, they look fine, but it;s a small entryway and I'm wondering if a smaller size tile will look better. We may be putting our house on the market and plan on making small improvements during the next year. The entire tiled areis about 9 ft. long and 3.5 ft. wide.

I never pay for anything I can make myself, so I have made my own tablecloth, drapery, even the wreath. I also plan to make the bed linen. It's fun for me!

I always feel better --- self-satisfied --- when I can accomplish anything, when so many others pay (even take out bank loans) to get things done. It only takes a little effort and, applying our talents we can save a lot of hard-earned money, especially with the economy so out of control, today.

A furniture repairman told me not to use products that contain silicone such as Pledge as it is damaging to your furniture, so I tried one that doesn't contain any silicone, and I don't like it. It leaves a dull residue. I'm not sure if it was just the brand I tried, or all of these types of products. I'm tempted to go back to Pledge, but I don't want to cause damage.

We are decorators working on a 35 year old home. As part of the
re-decoration the kitchen counters were to be replaced. A professional
Licensed, insured Handyman removed the counter top and the sink and closed
the shut off valve under the sink tightly. The job continued for 5
days without incident, but on the sixth morning the water was flowing out
of the hot water pipe from under the sink and the shutoff valve was
completely open to cause a LOT of water damage. The house is empty and is
being re-decorated in a desperate attempt to sell. An insurance
adjustor who inspected the shut off valve suggested that it opened on it own?
Can that happen? Can a shut off valve open on its own?
