I'm 22
i ironed for the first time yesterday.
my misses normally does it for me.
we have a long thin board.

would it not be quicker to have a short fat one so you can lay, like two 3rds of a t-shirt on it?

you can buy a longer and wider ironing board from Argos Woolies etc. Or do what i have done, and go on e-bay and get yourself a nice steam press. they are fab, and cuts the ironing time in half. I love mine. It cost £70 brand new, the original selling price was £170

I don't think they have short fat ones, however they do make a small thin one designed mostly for doing sleeves(we use this kind) it's much easier to use and takes up less space and you can use it on a tabletop. We bought it at a department store for
$14 and it's great.

yes...I've found that a wider board is quickest....we have one which takes a whole shirt width...so I can do the back in one go without having to slide it around. We got ours from Woolies...but i'm sure any other store (Argos etc) will have one.

Wow.. I never thought of that but a shordt fat one would be much easier... Sorry though.. they ONLY sell the ones that you presently have.. but.. to make one.. that is a good idea.
