Not that I'm a fan of cleaning or anything but there is a large amount of clutter in our apt. that needs to be removed asap. I've been asking about this for a year january 1st will be the year mark. Yesterday when I asked him to help clean he made me so frustrated by wining and complaining that I cut the experience short. Plus, he doesn't know how to put things where they belong and how to close drawers so that nothing is sticking out them shut.

It's not like I can go down the street to the local Home Depot. I live in the Philippines, and I just can't find the sealer. The people that seal granite counter tops are protecting their precious recipe, that provide for their livelihood. I'm told that I can get all the ingredients from one hardware store. And since I will need to seal the counter tops twice a year, I would rather do it myself.

I have a beautiful antique art deco diningroom set, but the finish is wearing off in places. Is there anything I can do to touch it up without paying to have everything refinished?

Yes me and my husband are wanting to build a house but everyone has been telling us it is going to cost a pretty penny that we should think about modular homes. They are built up to codes and standards as a house. And some of them look like reagular stick built homes. But I wanted a log cabin home. Any advice out thier any suggestion on to what I can do. Thanks

I bought a sand coloured Nubuck/Stonewashed leather sofa from Thomas LLoyd a few years ago. Its now getting a bit grubby in places and I need to know how to clean it. Id like to try DIY first before calling the professionals. Any ideas anyone?

My shower and bath water of both controlled by the same faucets, with an extra facet in the middle to change water flow form the bath tap to the shower head. Pretty standard stuff. Apparently out of the blue, the water no longer transfers to the shower head, when i turn the transfer faucet everything just stops. The water stop coming out of the bath but doesn’t come out of the shower head, except for just a trickle.

Cant think of what may have caused it, but i have been experimenting with differant shower heads lately.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks

The house is insultated and both boys keep their heat vent closed.

My bedroom across the hall from them is always freezing but it is in the front of the house and bares the brunt of the winter winds.

The thermostat is set at 67.

Heat won't come on automatically..I can set the thermostat at a higher temperature than the thermostat says it is in the house and it will come on then BUT it goes directly to AUX heat..so I "assume" I an not getting stage 1 heat. The outside condensor fan is the one running constantly..yes it will run when I call for heat..go directly to AUX heat and then when the heat has reached the appropriate temperatue the heat shuts off and the fan continues to run until I switch the thermostat to the off position. The air coming in is not super cold but not even warm just room temperature. The main house breaker box has a 60 Amp double breaker,(the one buzzing).Breakers aren't popping or loose just buzzing every two mintutes when that fan on the condenser runs. Sometimes when I call for heat it may be 40 degrees out or it may be 65 like today...always the same results.

I just bought a home with an unfinished basement. I was thinking of finishing the basement and creating a game room. I wanted to soundproof it but I dont want to spend a ton of money. I know that I can buy soundproof drywall but that stuff is expensive!
Is there anything that I can stuff between the ceiling beams to soundproof the room? I dont want to put in a double layer of sheetrock becuase the ceiling is already only 7 feet.
Thanks!

I have tons of crayons and markers, but I feel bad throwing them away, but I don't know who would want a donation of a bunch of used cryaons and markers. I also have a ton of VHS tapes of things recorded in the past, but I haven't watched any of them in at least 3 years. Should I throw them away? But what if I might need them someday? I also have old school books and notes, what should I do with them? I will probably never read them or use them again, but I would feel bad throwing them away because it feels like I would be throwing away my education. What should I do with this stuff? How do people get rid of their things without feeling guilty about it?

Does anybody know of a cleaner that you can spray in your shower every morning to prevent mildew on the caulking around the tub. I've tried a bunch of stuff. Nothing seems to work for long.

I have a new kitchen range with a drawer on the bottom for storage. I want to store my pots & pans in there, but don't want to scratch the bottom of the drawer. What could I use to line the bottom of the drawer to protect it? I thought about newspaper or shelf liner, but it's aself-cleaning oven & I don't know if the high temp. would be a fire risk with something burnable. Any ideas?
