Does anybody know of a cleaner that you can spray in your shower every morning to prevent mildew on the caulking around the tub. I've tried a bunch of stuff. Nothing seems to work for long.

There are a couple of possibilities. The very first one is that your problem is not your cleaner.
Check the caulking on the whole shower/tub unit. Chances are, you have a leak somewhere that is causing moisture to get BEHIND your caulking. The black is showing through from behind, so you will never clean it from the front. Your best bet is to remove whatever vinyl cover you have up that is caulked in, clean the mold and mildew from behind it with bleach, then reinstall (caulking carefully, of course). I know that sounds like an awful lot of work, but it will be the only way to completely fix the problem. After that, use the Scrubbing Bubbles automatic shower cleaner.
The second possibility (although less likely) is that you have some heavy rust problems that are settling in your caulk. Try spraying some CLR foam on the caulk, and see if it wipes off.
Good luck!

I use DampRid's Mildew Cleaner and Preventer in my shower every day after we shower. After my husband re-caulked the floor to the walls last year, I started treating it daily and it has not returned yet. It is actually cheaper than the Tilex Mildew Remover I used to use, but I have only found it at Lowes in the cleaning aisle.

Try this:
Difficulty: Easy
Mildew is the black crud that creeps up in your shower and around your faucets. To make your own mildew remover and clean up that mess, follow these easy steps.
Instructions

* STEP 1: Pour 1 cup bleach into 1 gallon water.
* STEP 2: Mix well.
* STEP 3: Pour a small portion of the bleach mixture into a bowl.
* STEP 4: Apply the mixture with a toothbrush for small areas.
* STEP 5: Pour the mixture into a spray bottle for larger areas.
* STEP 6: Spray on shower walls, doors and curtains.
* STEP 7: Scrub with toothbrush or large stiff-bristle brush.
* STEP 8: Rinse thoroughly.

Tips & Warnings

* This cleaning solution is ideal for shower stalls, glass doors and curtains.
* Use this mixture in a spray bottle for daily cleaning after a shower. Simply spray on walls, doors and curtains, and leave until next shower. There's no need for rinsing.
* Make sure you open all windows or turn on a fan in the room you're working in. You'll need plenty of fresh air and ventilation.
* When spraying the mixture, don't inhale the fumes.

other than a full bleach job, dry out and re siliconing; the small spray btl with 1/2 bleach & 1/2 wtr and leave it in the shower.
aft you shwer, not b4, spray down the tiles and glass etc and you'll always have a clean shower.
tilex costs 10 time more and the componants are the same as bleach for 89 cents a gal.
vent your room a lil after spraying and I think you will see a difference. for the price you can't go wrong.

I make a solution of half vinegar and half water that I spray on my shower curtain, tub and tiles every morning before I get out. It prevents mold and mildew, it's not scary or dangerous (ie you can eat vinegar) and it's also a deodorizer, so my bathroom doesn't stink. And it's cheap.

If you keep getting mildew, you need to scrape out all the old caulking. Clean out all the tiles really, really well. Tilex and the scrubbing bubbles stuff is great. Let everything dry completely and recaulk it.

even with that is, Tilex will get rid of it. Chlorox also makes the same product for mold and mold elimination. ascertain the lavatory is ventilated, because both one among those issues include chlorine. Spray it on the affected surfaces and allow it take a seat for type of 15 minutes. Then rinse it off. If it doesn't flow away after the first software, do it again.

Bleach it, let it dry, and then paint it with Kilz. It won't come back after the kilz and you can paint right over it since it acts as a primer.
