i think this plant is a Heptapleurum - a nice 3 ft. fingerleaved plant. i have moved into a bsmt apartment a few months ago and it got sick. the growing conditions are ok and there is lots of light.
the leaves 'grow' brown patchy areas on them and fall off, sometimes the whole stalk falls off from the stem or is easily pulled off if one of the leaves has begun to turn already.
it has lost half of it's foliage .
i have decreased watering and removed all bad foliage as i see it. i have also sprayed with a fungicide (but maybe i need a different one ?) and watered with the fungicide.
does anyone have any helpful suggestions? i don't want to lose this plant.

I recently bought a new couch that has a real problem with static electric buildup. What can I do to lessen/remove this? Is there a way to ground a couch? the buildup is enough to make hair stand up with minimal touching of the couch. i'm not rubbing my arm on it for 5 minutes to get this to happen. Just sit, stand up. you'll discharge on something. i sat down with my laptop and got stung twice just during the motion of sitting.

How do I get rid of stale cigerette smoke in my house? My husband smokes and the smell is so strong, I have 2 kids and although he doesnt smoke in the prensence of them, the smell can still be smelt. He smokes in our bedroom wich is upstairs and when he opens up the bedroom door, the smell travels to the down stairs. We have gotten into several arguments about him smokin in the house which does no good. The smell is disgusting. So for anyone out there, how do I get rid of the smell when I have no air freshner or frebreeze?

No matter what I do dishes are coming out gritty and you can see it too and sometimes has to be rewashed 2 or more times. I have tried every type of brand name cleaner in liquid, powder or gel pack, I have even tried jetdry and still when I pull out my glasses and sometimes other dishes you can clearly see what looks baked on dirt(I have even shut off the heated dry)...I am not blocking the cut outs for the spray....could it be because I have a well? Is there any resolve to this??? thanks for any help....

I currently have some professional sound equipment connected to a power/surge protector that, when initially connected, indicated a 120 volt connection. Now, for unknown reasons, the power/surge protector is flashing, indicating a change in voltage has occurred, and when a voltage meter was used to check the line, it indicated that a voltage of approximately 132 volts is now present. What could have happened, given that nothing has been changed, and what do I do to correct the problem?

A few weeks ago we had the fixtures in our shower replaced. Since then the water in our shower has been lukewarm. (The water in the sinks is WAY too hot, so I know it's not the water heater.) My husband refuses to call the plumber back. Is there something I can do, or at least look for, to try to correct the problem? I'm tired of cold showers!!!

The plants were put in the ground the last week of September, they are about 4 feet tall with loads of foliage and some blooms but the blooms but never has had any tomatoes. I broke some of the stems back as I thought they may be taking all the nutrients.
I used tomato food and potting soil at the beginning and water almost daily.
