Turn them inside out and use very mild detergent if almost no detergent. DO NOT put them on the radiator as you might face scorching of the fabric. What you can do is hang them to dry and if they are still damp tonight - take an iron on low heat and dry them that way.

Good Luck.

Look at the fabric content and see exactly what the cleaning instructions say.

Does it say dry clean ONLY> Or offer the option of cold water wash.

I dry clean almost nothing. And unless they are incredibly expensive I would gently cold water wash them in the washer, small load and put them in the dryer long enough to take the wrinkles out then hang them on a pants hanger by the legs and then hang near a radiator. They should be ready to go by this evening.

If the fabric is mostly polyester, then it should be okay to wash in cold water. I would be cautious of the radiator though.

Here is an excerpt from a website forum (link found below):

"I haven't had any clothes drycleaned for years (oh, I can hear some gasping, she must be dirty).

No, I found over the years that most things can be succesfully washed in the washing machine. Even things that have 'dry clean only" labels on them. Nothing has ever shrunk or wrecked on me yet!

I wash in cold water only (that helps to save on electricity bills too) I've washed my woollen winter jackets, and many other items.

Of course, I don't think you would wash a fancy ball gown, (I don't have any) or a man's business suit but for other items it works just fine."

You could try washing them on the wool setting of your machine, at your own risk, but hang them on a clothes airer or the back of a chair, not ON the radiator as this will ruin them. Press gently into shape when still slightly damp using a clean tea towel under a warm, not hot iron.

I have loads of suits that are dry clean only and I wash them on 60 degrees in washer as normal then hang them on a hanger above the radiator to dry, i would nt recommend actually putting them on to the radiator they may dry out of shape.

Don't try it - may be ruined for life. It's probably a fabric issue or the lining could shrink if you have one. Radiators are especially hard on clothes and also may ruin the trousers!
If there are a few stains try them with a damp cloth or you can get dry clean stain remover from John Lewis - maybe Robert Dyas too - stain devils brand. Or...go out and buy something new!

Yes! I always wash dry clean only clothes. Just do not put them in the dryer. You most likely will have to iron them really good though.

Not unless you want them to lose their shape, be all wrinkled and possibly shrink. Dry clean only means just that. The only thing you can do is go to the store and by Dryel located in the laundry section of most stores that carry detergent and fabric softener. This can be used in the dryer and they come out smelling fresh and look nice.

with the high wool content i would say no you cant wash them if they are stained i would just sponge lightly where the stain is, then iron on low with a hanky of somthing to protect the fabric.
you could always be cheeky and ring dry cleaner and ask them to do them for you whlie you wait

I washed cushion covers on warm wash that should have been dry cleaned only, they went out of shape. I wouldn't risk it with trousers.
