We just put in new windows and this is the first day of freezing weather. We noticed a build of dew on the inside window....is this normal?

Yes cold outside warm inside thats your cause.NORMAL>

this is normal, because ur inside temperature of ur house is warmer then the temp outside. warm air can hold more water then cold. so when it hits the cold window it will release the water, hence the condensation on ur window. if u have single glass windows this will happen more often since the temp difference is greater then with double windows. just wipe it of so u wont get molds.
rain works the same way. warm air that contains a lot of water is pushed up. gets colder and releases the water in the form of rain or snow.

Yes. The moisture in the air will condense on the cold glass.

Yes...and even more so for single pane windows as they are warm on the inside and cold on the outside.

It means that you have moisture in your house. The only way to avoid this is to get a dehumidifier. You need to keep the water wiped up because mold will quickly grow around your windows.

Caused by humidity. If you have a humidifier, turn it down bit by bit, over a few days, until you no longer notice the moisture on the windows.
