If Joey could actually READ, he would see the word Best! And if he was a big boy and did his own laundry, he would even know that all detergent isn't equal, and some do a better job than others. Just like some people's answers are better, Joey, because they actually read the questions before they answer.

I pretreat with 'Shout' or Spray and Wash and then I just use "All" with stain lifter detergent. It's pretty cheap, works and smells good. I have 4 kids and so far I have been able to remove dirt, grass stains, cake icing. All types of stains.

Go to the store laundry department and look for fells napatha it is an older brand and comes in a block just like the old days. I have used it to get blood stains out of my scrubs and it really works. Its the soap they used in the old days with the wash boards. It works amazing on grass stains and all other stains. Just grate it up rub it on the spot let sit for a couple hours and wash.....you will be happy you did.....

Liquid tide is excellent (I like the new one with Fabreeze).

I mix my own stain remover with it. about half to three quarters of a cup of tide in a spray bottle then fill with water. Spray it on stains and throw them into the dirty clothes and it does a great job.

What a fascinating question. What else would laundry detergent do, numb nuts? They all remove dirt. It's not like a special feature: "Also: removes dirt!"
