I used washing soda a few times because it was supposed to make the water softer, but now all my clothes are stiff and feel like they have a film of washing soda on them. Washing them in regular soap and water didn't help. Any suggestions on getting this stuff out?

hi I bought a palm tree growing kit when i was on holiday. didn't thimk it was going to work, but it has. I moved it from the tub it was in. it's got 2 big leaves now. will it survive the winter? could anyone give me some advice onhow to care for this tree???

I will have hardwood flooring in my hallway and my adjacent laundry room will be tile. There't no actual door in the opening into the laundry room, so how far do you run the tile and hardwood? Do you split the difference in the center of the doorway, or bring the tile out to the edge of the hallway? Tile and hardwood on each side of the wall and a threshold between the two for the depth of the plate?

I just noticed water on the floor in front of my washer and dryer, although I haven't used the washer in about 4 days. I live in a house that is on a slab foundation and wondered if there is water seeping through the foundation, if the plumbing is out of whack, or if there is an issue with the washer. Any ideas?
