I used washing soda a few times because it was supposed to make the water softer, but now all my clothes are stiff and feel like they have a film of washing soda on them. Washing them in regular soap and water didn't help. Any suggestions on getting this stuff out?

I would put the clothes in the washer and fill it with warm water and put about a cup of white vinegar with the wash. Let it run through the whole wash cycle and you may have to repeat this several times.

1. Please avoid the use of 'soda' in future as its regular use damages your cloths.
2. Rinse the cloths in warm water, add a little vinegar while doing so.
3. Use a tumble drier to dry these cloths, do not sun-dry.

Add about a 1 cup cup of white vinegar to the last rinse.
