A friend recently bought an older house with a bathroom with robin's egg blue tile in the bathroom around the tub/shower, on the sink counter, and halfway up the walls. She can not remodel now, but was wondering if there was a treatment that would let her paint or coat it & hold up to everday use - any suggestions?

I have a house plant in my bedroom in front of my window. I have noticed recently that there have been little black round dots on the plant, wall, and curtains, even the ceiling around the plant? I don’t believe the dots are harmful, but I would like to know what the mystery dots are?

The activated carbon gives off a noticeable smell and since I don't smoke or have any chemical exposures (I'm using the cleaner mainly for the HEPA/particulate filtration), is it okay for me to run it without the activated carbon filter? The cleaner already has a separate prefilter and HEPA filter, but are there any concerns to using the air cleaner in a mode whereby the fan/blower is exposed to LESS incoming air resistance than it was designed for? Any way of damaging the motor or equipment by doing this?

We have a loveseat from Ikea - brown wood frame with navy blue square cushions. They get wrinkled butt prints really easily - any way to get them out? Maybe with an iron or wrinkle release or something? Thanks.

My roommate thought she saw something moving, and wasn't sure if it is a small mouse or some kind of little lizzard. I've heard of mice in 2nd and 3rd floors, but I thought they couldn't reach this high up - all the way to the 9th floor.

Is this possible?

I live in Zone 5 detroit, most of the leaves have blown off the trees, and the temps range from like 40-50f now, so the ground isnt frozen.....nurseries have trees for practically free.......
If the potted trees have lost there leaves, does this mean they are already dormant?
If so what difference does it make to the tree if in the sping it wakes up in a pot or in the ground....im thinking it would be a better way to plant a tree....suggestions?
I think I have about a month before the ground gets too hard...
