My roommate thought she saw something moving, and wasn't sure if it is a small mouse or some kind of little lizzard. I've heard of mice in 2nd and 3rd floors, but I thought they couldn't reach this high up - all the way to the 9th floor.

Is this possible?

Oh yes. I found one once running around on the 23rd floor of a tall office building. Mice find a way.

mice can pretty much go anywhere. Yes the can get to the 9th floor they can come up through the walls and things like that.

Yes, as can other pests. My daughter's office is on the 12th floor, and their whole building including her office is infested right now with crickets.

Mice can because they have great stamina, they are able to climb vertical inclines for 3 days straight. and they climb through drain pipes

yes, indeed, all they need is something they can get their little toe nail in and a hole small enough they can squeeze in. They are terrible little critters.

nice are crafty azz little buggers, and i have no doubt many of them got blown away in the twin towers on 9/11
