Use red white then baking soda, then followed by club soda. That should work , if the odor is there then rinse the stain or pot in white wine, if you use room temperature, the results won't be as well as the wines being chilled

Hi
I would recommend using a wet vac and slowly pour hot water (almost to the boiling point) on the spot and vacuum it up at the same time (this will open up the dye ports on the carpet fibre releasing the stain. and remove the residue from the carpet). If the stain is still visible than use a little carpet spotter on it or Dawn dishwashing liquid (2 or 3 drops into one cup of water) and repeat step 1. The stain may come back in a few days so you may have to do this a few times. Please DO NOT put anything on the carpet that was not made for carpet. At this point if the stain is still there please call a carpet cleaner. What I have suggested will not lock the stain in.

I use Spot Shot Carpet Cleaner(the orange/blue can). This cleaner is fantastic!! We have light tan carpet. My son dropped a plant on the floor and tried to clean up all the dirt so I wouldn't know. Instead he ground the dirt in trying to vacuum it up, and made mud when he tried to wash it up. I didn't think I'd get it out. But this did. You can't even tell it happened. I don't recommend it on dark carpet because it'll take some color away.

Call in a professional carpet cleaner or get rid of the white carpet. Why do you have white carpets with kids in the house, anyways?

You may want to try your laundry prespot stuff and see if that works. If you know someone who uses Melaleuca products call that person and they will be able to bring you some of their products that will definately get the stain out.
