Merion blue grass?? Where'd you find that? That was new in the 1970s. There are 40 or 50 superior varieties of bluegrass nowadays.

Anyway, to answer you question it would depend on the conditions. Hot & dry require a higher nitrogen like 30-3-3. Spring and fall weather require less like 18-12-10. It doesn't have to be those exact numbers--they're just examples. The tech at you L&G center can get you the right one. Just tell him/her the conditions.

for Marion blue grass the standard 12--4-8 will work fine
