I know scraping popcorn is messy and time consuming, but I heard I have to do it if I want to apply crown moulding. Is there any type of moulding I can do without having to scrape the popcorn from my ceiling?

Some bees decided to make a hive in the space underneath the hose caddy that hangs on my house in my back yard. It's about the size of a grapefruit. I'd leave it alone, but it's low, and I have kids. I was thinking about waiting for it to get really cold outside (I live in the north-east, so it won't be long now) and dislodging with a little souvineir Dodgers baseball bat. Do bees leave when it freezes? Or do they hibernate? Can I swing for the bleechers?

Where my boyfriend and I are staying theres 3 bedrooms, living room and kitchen. My boyfriend has only been using the living room heating since its an apartment. Anyway I have rabbits and they stay in a bedroom since the cold weather is approaching i'm worried they may get to cold. There is a smaller room with a small heater. It hasn't been used for who knows how long. I turned it up today to even see if it worked. (My boyfriend thoguht only the living room heat worked.)

Anyway, my question is, can you just turn heat on? the heater looks in good shape, its one of the heaters that goes along the floor about 3 feet long. Can I just turn it up little by little? It had a funny smell at first, it may be normal i've smelt it before when you first use your heat for the season. I just want to turn it on a little maybe to like 78 degrees or lower only for the rabbits.

Thanks

we have six people living in a five bedroom house. two couples, two kids. not too worried about the kid's stuff, i go through that periodically and toss unused/broken/ill fitting stuff. but i am tired of my roommates mess and not having any kind of room for me to have much beyond clothes becuase my bf is a packrat! not to mention, we found out we have a baby due in april. i need to convince people to get rid of some of their stuff, for health reasons (my roomates section of the house is awful, unsanitary and just plain nasty) and for reasons that we just doin't have the room. this much stuff is difficult to clean up, difficult to keep organized and just plain awful for me because only about 10 percent of it is mine and i am stuck dealing with it. I can't even get a job (i tried and the house bloody well fell apart) i'm on the verge of hysterics. help!

My ceramic stovetop has some really nasty and ugly brown burn stains and marks around each of the four burners. What's the best way to get rid of these? So far, I've tried Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, store-brand(like Walmart) stovetop cleaner, a brillo pad, etc. and nothing has worked. Please help!

I wanted to put some colored crushed glass on top of the cement i will be pouring around my outside bar. However of course i don't want it to be sharp, cutting my feet when you walk. What can you do so that you get the cool appearance of the colored glass on the walkway but without the worry if it cutting or even coming loose from the cement?
