Seriously, though, I also live in Florida, and those SpaceBags are DEFINITELY the way to go. THEY WORK. They are a bit more expensive than the ones where you just "roll out" the air, but, they are worth it. No bugs, no moisture, nothing gets in.
After you re-open the bag, just toss the comforter in the dryer for about 10 minutes with a fragrant dryer sheet (not that it really needs it, but, I do it anyway). Good as new!

Have you seen the infomercials for Space Bags? They sell them at Walgreens, Walmart, etc. - anyway - I store my Christmas tree skirts in my attic in Spacebags - I live in Arkansas and it gets EXTREMELY hot and HUMID here during the summer months. Check out the following website about spacebags!

Yes .. But why would you want to unless you have a stair way to get up there and the storage area is finished to keep the dust and insulation away. Even then use a plastic container.
Why not under the bed?

Yup - get one of those airtight bags from Walmart - the ones you roll and squeeze all the air out of so it lays completely flat and will keep any moisture out.

you probably can but make sure and put it in a bag so no moisture can get in or else it will mold and be aware of mice too, if they can get in, say goodbye to your comforter.

Make sure you store it in somekind of container! I wouldn't just throw it up there. If you do, you will have to "throw" it away!!
