My model # is SC302ZS. I cannot find the manual. I have also tried to find the manual on-line and at Thermador.com and have been unsuccessful.

Try this....I had a microwave oven that parts of the numbers were faded on the display. I brought the oven into a repair shop. I was advised to set the time to 8888 and leave it that way for a few hours. Some of the areas on the display fade if they are not used. Using the number 8 filled in the areas that are not used as often. This solved the problem.

If the 8888 trick fails and you are confident of your abilities, try the following.

Remove the cover and unplug and replug ever connection you can find. Sometimes the slightest bit of corrosion will cause a voltage drop across a connector. That drop is all it takes to cause problems downstream. By disconnecting and reconnecting these plugs you burnish the contacts, that removes the corrosion reestablishing a good electrical connection. Sometimes it works.

BTW, there is no guarantee that you appliance isn't on the way out.

let it ride till you cant't stand it... there is a short or power bleed somewhere, or it is just giving out. use it till it breaks or you're ready to spend the bucks!
