My tenant had a lease on my home for 1 year and broke because of some argument with a co-tenant. He left without paying his last months rent, trashed the place completely and broke a window. My house was fully remodeled inside and outside before he came in and now it needs about 1week of full time work on it. I live in Sacramento, Ca and just need a site or a phone number to file a complaint. Because I dont want this to happen to anyone else. Please help.

We are seriously thinking of starting the construction asap. Also, we are not from Bangalore which makes it a little difficult in conversing with the locals.

(1) What i wanted to know is regarding the buliders or contractors who undertake the construction of personal houses. Names and the contact numbers of at least some of them.

(2) Would be really beneficial if i could also know the entire process. I mean how much does the cost normally come to (just a rough figure) and what are the terms normally like.

(3) If someone has already been through this before procedure, please do let me know your experience.

Would be really thankful if i could get some clues.

Regards,
Sajal

We have hardwood floors downstairs and my wife thinks it will look fresher and match the downstairs better if we remove the old carpet. My concern is that the wood will be too slippery and dangerous. What do you all think?

I would like to paint the walls of our living room a color that would complement and bring to life a plum colored couch and love seat. The floors are oak, ceilings are high. This is a charming old house with large windows.

I just moved in and the walls are unfinished.
What do I start with because I want to paint it, but it looks like concrete or something (white and uneven)?

I have a power washer guy come a couple of times a year to clean it, but is there something I can treat it with to prevent the mold or whatever it is?

It seems complicated to remove it and then put new wallpaper on (I just moved in and it looks faded and yellowed), so I was considering just painting over it.
Is this a good idea and what kind of paint should I use?

I cannot find a filter or even a place to put one in our furnace. The house was built in the 70s, but the HVAC inspector said that the furnace was 12 years old. Maybe it never had one? Maybe it was removed? The previous homeowner heated the house primarily with the fireplace, and we wouldn't be surprised if they modified the furnace. How can I figure out if there ever was a place for a filter? How would we go about adding a filter?

I found a couple of t hem, and don't want any kind of colony forming, and yes I have tried the exterminator route, and even this guy said they are highly adaptive, and most pesticides don't work after a couple of times, they become immune, and their unborn offspring will most asssuredly become immune. I need some ideas, and or some natural pesticides, as I have kids, and pets.
