A friend told me that switching laundry detergents was good for your clothes. She said if you use the same detergent over and over, the ingredients in the detergent would start to break down the fibers in the clothing, leaving them thinner. She also said switching detergents could help remove stains. Is this true?

I have these stone things that I find when I go to the beach. They are usually about 1 1/2 inches wide, 2 1/2 inches long and 1/4 inch thick. They are smooth stones with rounded edges and are usually really pale colored and have sort of a grain to them (but they're still smooth) and have rounded edges. If I get enough could I tile a floor with them or a backsplash maybe? Also, do you know what these things are even called?

My partner and I are building a pond, and would like to keep fish. We thought that we would start off with gold fish, and eventually move on to other varieties once we had gained more knowledge on the subject. Is there anything in particular we need to consider to keep fish successfully?

Im a size 0/1 now, and all my jeans are 3/4 or 5/6. I just want to shrink a little bit, I notice they shrink somewhat after I wash and dry them, but I have heard that there are settings you can wash them in to shrink them more. Does anyone know how? Please let me know. thanks

I've heard horror stories about contractors promising to do a job (i.e. remodel a kitchen or a bathroom or a deck, an extra room addition) by a certain time and at a fixed price. But as time goes by, they need more money to finish a job. Usually, the home owner goes broke and/or job never finished.

My parents remolded their entire home. The work was promised to be finished w/in 6 month. It's been a year and the house is still uninhabitable. We have a contract and everything has been paid for as scheduled. We have a lawyer now. But what can cause an established contracting company to fail on their word/contract? Is there a legitimate reason?
