2 100 watts is a lot of power for a solar system. Could be expesive. Try a system that uses low wattage LED. The link is for a turn-key system that will actually work. It is not cheap. If you have grid power, use it with a battery backup system.

Sorry you would need a HUGE solar panel and a bunch of batteries to produce that many watts. By the time you get done building something that can run that kind of power, you'll have spent thousands of dollars on panels and batteries.

It's the same with the electric car, great in theory but the reality is it's a lot of up front cost for little performance.

You'll have to wait for us to catch up to George Jetson - maybe in 500 to 1000 years.

I would goto Home Depot and purchase ones that are already set up for Solar Power.....
You would have to get solar cells and transfer the power into a motor which would give the lights power....

ok i would say that the ones they sell at home depot are great. and i disagree with some of the other answers solor power is great and you can get solor systems for the average family home that pay for themselves within 3-4 years. and still not have power problems you can also stay hooked up to regular power and use it if nessisary.
i know this is probably not what you wanted but i had to answer the other answer as well. oh and the solor lights at home depot donot have motion sensors on them but the little led lights are quite bright we have 20-30 of them out here on the farm and dont have any problem with them

Too much power required to be economical. Maybe you could design lamps made up of hi-output LED's. If you did that, the size of the solar panels and storage batteries could be reduced! :-)=
