If you are talking about your Elec. meter...It`s left to right... I have to read mine once a month....

Light meter?
Could you be a little more specific? If you are talking about a Multimeter (it's called that because it can read Volts, Amps, Ohms, etc.), you read it from left to right, except when you are reading Ohms.

Do you mean the meter for your electric? If so I believe it is right to left.
