Depending on how high and deep the backspalsh is, certainly!

Bullnose tiles would handle the curve,,,which is the better of two ways to accomplish that,,, and a concave piece in the same tile, would handle the curve where the back spalsh meets the counter top. Then extend the tile out to the facing edge of the counter, and do bullnose again.

Certainly this depends on tile sizes and existing counter/back splash measurements.

As long as you use an epoxy based adhesive to apply the tiles, and the grout needs to be the same.

Yes, but you might want to sand it with coarse sand paper for better adhesion.
