I woke up this morning to a backyard that was all dug up. Just the turf was pulled back; no real holes were found.

I suspect a rodet was searching for grubs, so I laid down a bag of Grub-X, but am fearful the yard will still be subject to future nocturnal attacks.

Here's what my yard looks like: http://www.orlowski.com/yard/

I've seen ground hogs roaming around in the past, as well as stray cats. Some people suggest this is the work of skunks or deer, but I've never seen either ever.

Thanks.

I recently purchased a new dryer because the old dryer was taking forever to dry the clothes. Before installing the new one I noticed the pipe for the air vent where the dryer attatches to was 3/4 full of wet lint goo. I tried to clean what I could reach but the pipe goes up 20 plus feet on to the roof of the house. The pipe is made of PVC and goes through the attic. What is the best way to get this cleaned or do I have to get it replaced? What companies do this type of thing? Is this expensive?

I just layed down laminate flooring and need to finish it off with quarter round. I can fasten most of it to the baseboard. I have a few areas under the door and around the fireplace where there is nothing but metal or a marble slab. How can i install the quarter round in these areas? I was thinking some type of adhesive. But I don't want it to look jerry-rigged.

There's water and bubbles all over the floor! I didn't do anything different than I usually do when I use it, why would it do this to me?

I want to know how to get rid of the fruit flies in my house. I think they are coming in through the screens on the windows. We have to keep the windows open because the heat has switched on in our apartment and it is still warm outside. I really don't understand: there is no fruit or bread out to tempt them and the house is clean. Help!

I'm wondering how it works and if it is any more or less expensive than ordinary detergents you buy at the store.

Every recipe I have found requires washing soda, borax, and Ivory soap. I have borax and the soap, but my local stores don't carry washing soda. Is there a way to make laundry detergent without it? How? Thanks so much!

im starting a game room and i m working in a 14"x15" room i have a pool table (regulation size) in here and plans for a small bar. how ever i have two concert speakers in here that are huge the type you could dance on if you wanted to and it's starting to get cramped. so do i keep the speakers and use them as tables until we turn it up!? or go with a 80's style jukebox that plays records. my other option is to get a new reciever im thinking marantz.
what do you think?
