We have an industrial sprinkler system in our warehouse and would like to disable one of the sprinkler heads as we're putting in a stove right underneath it. Any ideas on how to disable this particular sprinkler or make it not receptive to the heat and smoke that will surely hit it coming from the stove?

I have this palm tree that I bought at a store and had to kind of force it into my car to take it home, causing some of the leaves to get bent in the hot sun coming in the back window. It doesn't look terrible, just kind of funny -- is there any way to straighten out the leaves without wrecking my palm tree? A friend suggested smoothing them out with my hands but it's not working - would a blow dryer hurt it? Thanks.

I have the same brand garage door opener (Genie) as my neighbor, whose garage is adjacent to my own. Often, when I am driving up and I hit my button, it opens her garage door (and vice versa), posing a security risk and causing a big hassle in general, trying to get them to open and/or close as I need them to do. Does anyone know if getting a different brand of garage door opener would solve the problem? I have tried getting a new remote opener and reprogramming the one I already had and none of this has worked. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Over 20 years ago, we used a stucco pre-mix solution on the walls in our hallway, applying it with a sponge to give it a textured appearance. Now we want to get rid of it and make the walls smooth again. Would it be easier to sand the walls down -- and if so, is there a tool that can be used to do this easily? -- or plaster over the stucco? Any suggestions are helpful.

We were given a bunch of old ceiling tile and we were going to sell it as is but I got online and started researching it. I found out that people are framing it and making mirrors out of it and selling it for alot of money. I am not very creative so does anyone have any other ideas or know of a website that shows how to do this? Here's what it looks like. http://photos.yahoo.com/jeffandlori3901

I need to install a heavy spring - like a garage door spring, but smaller and shorter. It needs to be stretched about a half inch in the "disengaged" position. How do I stretch it that extra half inch to install it across to points.

Too small to get picture of clearly. Please help!!!

What would be a reasonable price with the purchase and installation of 5 standard and one picture window? We were offered the highest-quality windows one company had for all 6 windows for $2800. The agreement was that we must keep their yard signs up for one year. I haggled on the basis that we have prime "real-estate" for marketing as our house is visible from a major roadway. The problem is that I have no price comparison basis (this is our first home) and want to know if this price is good or if we will be had if we agree. We live in Michigan if this helps for pricing. Thanks.

It's been working fine now when I try to start it, it makes the buzzing noise as if the door isn't closed right or the lint trap is is backwards. But the door is closed and the trap is in right. Is there some kind of sensor that can be replaced or what else could this be? Thanks.
