whats the best way a tradesman would scribe a hip flashing?

A hip flashing to a corrugated steel sheeted roof.Can anybody tell me the quickest and neatest way to scribe to corrugated iron?Compass?or a pattern? or another way?

you can use a compass or scribe but i doubt youl see your line. if its an angel that your wanting to scribe and its on a roof take a piece of cardboard say 1 foot wide and a Sharpie marker and scribe the angel of the tin if it would work better get a wider piece of cardboard, other wise use a tape measure or ruler or even an old yard stick to index your measurement and draw a line.
