turn off the light

First of all turn of the breaker in your electrical panel for the circuit the light is on so you are safe. If you are handy you could go inside your attic and see if you can locate the source of the leak (which is most likely your roof). I would then find a reputable roofer or handyman (who also could diagnose your leak) to fix the leak. There is a website, angieslist.com that will help you find an honest contractor, a small membership fee but probably worth it.

if you have rain water coming out of the light socket sounds like you must have a roof leak i would call a roofer and get the roof fixed first then let the socket dry out

IF YOUR ROOF IS FLAT ABOVE THE LIGHT SOCKET IT MAY NEED MORE OF A STEEPER PITCH IN THE ROOF IN ORDER FOR H2O TO RUN OFF INSTEAD OF DRAINING THROUGH YOUR LIGHT SOCKET.
