my x was a concrete man for many years, the color will change with time. Two years it will slowly turn out like you want it.

Re-texture OR re-stain. Don't paint it or it can cause it to be so smooth it is slick, esp. when wet, and if it is around a pool you don't want that as an added fall risk. You may want to wait awhile and let it cure and see how it changes with age.

youll only have a prob if the concrete is way to rough as in high spots, holes are normal. you dont want a smooth finish around water, and remember this if you are overweight or are getting to the sunset yrs, you want a rough float, in any weathered cement work. grey or green will turn whitish, most due.

There are stains now available that look really good.
You can apply as a solid transparent stain or brush on with texture. It's cheap and looks great.

If you resurface there may be a chance of the new service flaking off, so staining may be the best.
